In the month of October we told you about how important it is prepared a health food list that will guide you in your quest of eating healthy.

We admit that although this process maybe be a herculean task, it is doable.  Making the month’s health food list may be tedious but it is worth the sweat.

The list will serve as a guide to help you make appropriate choices for the month or the period you set for yourself.

Earlier in our post about Health Food List for October, we listed Fruits, Proteins and other foods that are best for your breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The list of health foods presented in this post are carefully selected, with a fine blend of nutritious foods that makes for your complete health food plan for the month and meets your body’s nutritional needs.

The health food list will feature foods categorized under; Dairy products, Whole grains, Healthy fats, Vegetables and Fruits.

We’ll start with Fruits.

Fruits provide guaranteed optimum health in the long-run when made an integral part of monthly meal plans. They are natural sources of vitamins and minerals. Some fruits are also high in dietary fiber which improves the functioning of the digestive tract.

Most people already know it’s important to the weight loss journey because it serves as a healthy diet for anyone seeking to lose weight, give adequate energy without adding to body weight or body fat.

Meats and Proteins

Choosing meats and proteins for monthly health plans can be a headache due to the thought that most meats are unhealthy for people above a certain age bracket. That is true but having meat in your meal certainly, does not make it an unhealthy meal.

In many countries including the US, meat refers to muscle tissue of mammals and birds. Most people consume it as steak, chops or roast it.

As much as possible cut down on the consumption of red meat; Beef, Pork, Game etc.

A more meat preferred choice is ‘white meat’.

Cereals such as Oats and Wheat contain abundant fiber that helps in lowering body cholesterol levels.

Healthy fats

Fat has a lot of negative connotation when it comes to issues concerning health, food and diets. However, it remains an important ingredient for the body.

Fats may either be unsaturated or saturated.

Unsaturated fats are oils — the kind that are fluid at room temperature while saturated fats are solid at room temperature.

Although both are important, you should make a conscious effort to take more unsaturated fats.

It is recommended that you get about 25 percent-35 percent of your daily calories from fat with no more than 10 percent (22 grams) coming from saturated fat.
